Steve Day

Senior Testing Technician

As Senior Testing Technician, Steve takes charge of the six-monthly and annual testing of all dry fire systems, including detection, ports and other passive systems.

On a typical day, he works his way from site to site, making sure all systems are running as they should be. It’s safe to say that fire safety is a bit of a passion for Steve.

He is also the Deputy Captain for Fire and Rescue at a station on the Central Coast and has been for over 12 years. Steve’s interest in and dedication to the fire industry are unmoving.

When he’s not working at DEM, he’s on call. And he regularly conducts training liaison sessions for the rural fire service. Steve has been with DEM for over four years now.
