Sean Gilsenan

Projects Estimator

As a Projects Estimator with DEM Fire, Sean Gilsenan liaises with our clients on enquiries and tenders and works with our Fire Protection design team to cost new projects and provide client quotes.

A mechanical engineer by training, Sean initially worked for an engineering instrumentation company before making the switch to fire protection.

“My work has mostly always been project-orientated, which is what I enjoy. I like looking at details to see how things work, and it’s very satisfying when that involves solving problems.”

He’s found several other positive aspects to his new role.

“I do enjoy client interaction. I like meeting new people and building good customer relationships over the long term. That always keeps it interesting.”

An avid sports fan, Sean also enjoys whipping up a meal in the kitchen, playing the guitar, and a game of soccer with friends. Teamwork is important on and off the field.

“It’s one thing that I’ve really noticed here. The work culture is great. The team is very supportive and welcoming, and we work very well together.”

DEM Fire has recently focused on expanding our expert project team to ensure we provide timely and highest quality expertise for all projects, whether major or minor. For our customers, that means first-class project solutions, including the design of sprinkler systems and fire protection alarm systems.
