As Service Coordinator with DEM Fire, Renee Whitehouse assists with team scheduling and inductions, invoicing and customer queries to help deliver our first-class solution design, system installation, asset management and fire compliance.
“I’ve only been here since March so I’m fairly new, but I do like that the role is starting to get a little more challenging,” Renee says. “Day to day, I look after our website, call clients to organise access for our technicians, follow up quotes, and I help our Service Manager with various tasks.”
Like many of the DEM Fire team, Renee already had a long career in fire prevention before joining us.
“About 20 years ago, I started working in an admin role in fire protection, and I was there for 11 years. I left for a while when I raised my family, and when I was looking to start working again, a neighbour mentioned a job at another fire company. It does feel like once you start in fire protection, you never leave,” she laughs.
With four children at home between the ages of 14 and 21, Renee is never bored, but she does enjoy the camaraderie that she finds in the office. Like all of the DEM Fire team, she also works hard to deliver exceptional customer solutions.
“We do have a laugh and it’s a really good team all round. Everyone here is friendly, and very helpful to new team members. We’re all on the same page too when it comes to customer service – and giving our best.”
