Eric Holland - Service Operations Manager


Eric manages all compliance operations for the service department.

“It’s a 24/7 position. I support the supervisors and the operative staff, as well as being the go-between for clients as well. I manage clients and make sure all operations of the business are done correctly.”

Eric is multi-trade qualified. Originally working for the Department of Civil Aviation, he decided to move into the fire industry and utilise his skills somewhere new. For him, DEM Fire represents the ideals and ethics he considers most important.

“DEM Fire is a family orientated business. It’s all about personal service and personal contact. There is the development for growth there while still retaining the family ideals and ethics and that personal touch.”

Providing a safe environment for clients is first and foremost for Eric and the core goal of DEM. He continues, “…but it’s also committing to reliable communication and keeping customers informed of the status of their building. Not only is it maintaining it, but reassuring them and providing them with the evidence that we’re doing what we’re supposed to be doing. Or, if there are any issues pertaining, supplying them information and providing the tenants, council and insurers with information on the status of the equipment. So, it’s all reassurance.” 

With six grandkids, Eric is kept busy during his time off. “Being there for the kids is very important to us,” he says.
